INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

What leads an individual to seek counseling? An awareness that something needs to be different. Perhaps a desire to stop feeling sad, depressed, worried, or angry has led you to seek counseling. Through counseling you may find that working with an objective listener may help you make the changes you seek.

I gladly offer a free initial 15 minute consultation to allow you to become comfortable, discuss goals and learn about counseling. I feel that building a strong relationship with my clients is paramount to setting and obtaining goals in the therapeutic process. COUPLES COUNSELING

​Few events in our lives impact us more than our romantic relationships. Think about the feeling of first love. Few emotions can compare to this powerful experience. On the opposite side of that spectrum is the feeling of loss and abandonment associated with the end of a relationship. Often times individuals do not start, experience, or move on from past relationships in a way that is healthy and beneficial. In my counseling work, the emphasis is always on growth. I work with our clients to help them experience relationships in a way that helps them feel love in the most beneficial manner possible.

I provide counseling to couples looking to start, improve, or change the romantic relationships in their lives.

FAMILY COUNSELING

​Family therapy can help you improve troubled relationships with your partner, children or other family members. You may address specific issues such as marital or financial problems, conflict between parents and children, or the impact of substance abuse or a mental illness on the entire family.

Family therapy can often help family units as a whole, cope with relatives who may have a serious mental health illness, addiction issues, unhealthy relationship patterns or any other problem that may affect the family as a whole.

Family therapy can be useful in any family situation that causes stress, grief, anger or conflict. It can help you and your family members understand one another better and learn coping skills to bring you closer together.
