It takes a village! Whether your family is the size of a small village or a party of two, coming together and knowing that loved ones are working right alongside you can be incredibly motivating and increase hope. Working together to make small changes is often much more effective as opposed to finding any one person to blame or “fix”. Slight changes in the family unit can lead to big positive outcomes.
Families who seek support may struggle with things such as effective communication, feeling unheard, poor boundaries, scapegoating, feeling a lack of connection, illness, disorder, or addiction in the family, a lack of understanding, poor conflict resolution, and more.
I like to work with families and help them learn to talk to each other effectively, build on listening skills, point out power struggles or dynamics, getting to the root of mistrust, increase understanding, compromising, and learning how to express individual needs while also being respected.
If coming together as a unit sounds like it might be helpful for your family, please feel free to reach out to me to further discuss. -Thank you!
